Office Removals in Hertfordshire, Watford & North London
Family-run office relocations across Hertfordshire and North London, run by the same Watford team that's been moving local businesses since 2005. Out-of-hours moves, IT-aware crews, vehicles up to 7.5-tonne, careful handling of desks, monitors and server kit — and a written quote before you commit, after we have walked the site with you.
What's included in a Small Removal Company office move
- Pre-move survey. For anything beyond a handful of desks we'll visit the site, work out access at both ends, and quote against a real plan rather than a guess.
- IT-aware crews. We handle monitors, screens, towers, printers and server kit with the same care as fragile furniture — blanket-wrapped, labelled by user or desk, set down gently. Reconnection is the IT team's job, but we leave kit where it's meant to go.
- Crate hire for desktop contents, files and small items — labelled by department and room, supplied as part of the move.
- Out-of-hours and weekend moves so your team comes back to a working office on Monday morning. We routinely run Friday-night and Saturday-day office relocations across Hertfordshire.
- Fully insured — Goods in Transit and Public Liability cover on every job, so commercial premises at both ends are protected.
- Floor and wall protection for both buildings — corner protectors on lifts, runners on flooring, doorway protectors on tight access points.
- Desks, screens and dividers dismantled and reassembled where needed. Bring the assembly instructions if it's a non-standard system.
- Single point of contact — Robert speaks to you at the quote and runs the move on the day. No handover between sales and operations.
The office moves we typically handle
- Small office moves (1–10 desks) — startups, small accountancies, design studios, single-office practices. Usually a one-day job, often a Saturday.
- Mid-size relocations (10–40 desks) — established SMEs, growing firms moving to a bigger floor or a new building. Plan a Friday evening + Saturday or a two-day weekend.
- Floor consolidations — moving two departments onto one floor, or merging an acquisition into your existing space. Usually planned in phases.
- Office downsizing — moving from a bigger space to a smaller one, often combined with house-clearance-style removal of furniture you no longer need.
- Studio / clinic / treatment-room moves — single-practitioner setups across Watford and Hertfordshire (chiropractors, beauticians, hair salons, photography studios).
How we plan an office move
- Site visit and survey. We come to both buildings, look at access (lift sizes, stair widths, loading bays, parking), count the items, agree the schedule with your office manager.
- Written quote. Fixed price, schedule, crate count, crew size. No "from" prices, no day-of surprises.
- Pre-move labelling. Crates and furniture labelled by destination room or user. We supply labels and run a desk-numbering system if you don't already have one.
- Move day(s). Out-of-hours or scheduled — we load, move, unload, place. Desks back together, screens back on, monitors aligned, ready for IT to reconnect Monday morning.
Office moves across Hertfordshire and North London
Most of our office work is along the Hertfordshire commercial corridor and into North London: Watford town centre, the business parks around Croxley Green and Maple Cross, the offices around the M25 J19 / J20 (Rickmansworth, Chorleywood), the M1 J6 / J6A cluster around St Albans and Borehamwood, and the North London boroughs (Barnet, Enfield, Harrow, Haringey, Camden, Islington) where we regularly handle relocations on or off the North Circular. We know the loading-bay rules and the out-of-hours access procedures at most of the larger Watford, St Albans and North London business parks.
If your office is further afield in Hertfordshire — Hemel Hempstead, Hatfield, Welwyn Garden City — we still cover it. We are also happy to travel further afield when the job needs it, and weekend moves help avoid the worst of M25 traffic.
Pricing — what to expect
Most small to mid-size office relocations fall between £400 and £1,500, depending on the number of desks, distance between buildings, vehicle size, timing and crate hire. The lower end covers small office moves of a handful of desks over a short distance; the upper end covers larger relocations needing a 7.5-tonne lorry, a bigger crew and weekend / out-of-hours timing.
- Small office (under 10 desks): typically £400–£800 depending on distance and timing.
- Mid-size office (10–40 desks): typically £800–£1,500 depending on move plan, weekend / evening rates and crate hire.
- Larger relocations (40+ desks, multi-floor, multi-day): quoted on the move plan after a site visit.
- Specialist items (safes, large reprographic equipment, server racks): we'll quote separately if needed.
Out-of-hours and weekend moves cost more than weekday daytime — we'll explain the trade-off when we quote so you can choose what makes sense for your team.
Common questions about office removals
How much notice do you need for an office move?
A simple small-office move can be booked with 1–2 weeks' notice. For mid-size relocations and any move that needs out-of-hours timing, give us 4–6 weeks if possible. We can often work to shorter timelines — call and we'll tell you what's realistic.
Can you move our IT equipment?
Yes — we pack, transport and place IT kit (monitors, towers, printers, network gear). We don't disconnect and reconnect — that's a job for your IT team or provider — but we'll move it safely and put it where it needs to go.
Do you supply moving crates?
Yes — crate hire is part of the quote, with enough crates supplied the day before for desks to be packed. We collect them the day after the move (or sooner by arrangement).
Can you move us on a weekend?
Yes — most of our mid-size office work is weekend or Friday-evening to avoid disrupting trading hours. Saturday rates are slightly higher than weekday rates but the productivity saving usually justifies it.
Are you insured for commercial moves?
Yes — Goods in Transit and Public Liability insurance on every move, including commercial relocations. Cover details available on request.
